Welcome to the fascinating world of open source software that is Linux. This site was developed by me with the purpose of independently examining the topics needed to pass the certification exams Linux Foundation Certified System Administrator (LFCS) and the Linux Foundation Certified Engineer (LFCE).

About Linux Foundation Linux Certification

Linux Foundation certifications give you a way to differentiate yourself in a job market that's hungry for your skills. Linux certification allows you to showcase your skills in a way that other sysadmins will respect and employers will trust.

Why Get Certified by The Linux Foundation

Linux Foundation exams are performance-based and community-sourced. As a result, you really have to know your stuff. That's why only the best sysadmins and engineers can boast that they are certified by The Linux Foundation.

Linux talent is in high demand, but there is still plenty of competition for the top jobs. Set yourself apart by getting certification from the source.

Research has shown that people with certifications make more money. Whether you're looking for your first job or just looking to upgrade your current position, getting a Linux Foundation certification will help you demonstrate your value.

What on this site

Based on the list of domains and competencies covered by the LFCS and LFCE exam. I conducted a review of possible topics.

During registration for the exam you can choose one of the Linux distributions:

  • CentOS 7
  • openSUSE Leap 42.3
  • Ubuntu 17.04

so when parsing topics, I tried to enter commands and change configurations on each of them...

You can use any one of the following command to find out your Linux distribution and name:

cat /etc/*-release
lsb_release -a
cat /proc/version
